Whether you’re a business that’s looking for a co-packer or you’re a co-packer that’s looking for a new partner to supply your labels, Epsen Hillmer Graphics can help you out. As a family-owned business that’s been operating in Omaha for more than a century, we take every relationship we have with other businesses very seriously. A big part of what’s allowed us to thrive and grow over the years is viewing the businesses we work with as partners instead of just jobs.
For someone who’s getting started on either side of a business that involves co-packers and private labeling, the different terms used can be a bit confusing. However, once you get a basic understanding of both, everything becomes much easier to understand. The simplest way to think of a co-packer is a business that makes the upfront investment in machines and other equipment needed to mix, fill, seal, label and/or pack products.
While some co-packers have their own brands, it’s more common for these businesses to focus on fulfilling contract orders for others. Those “others” are often private labels. A private label (which may also be referred to as a branding company) will pay the co-packer to produce one or more products. The private labeler will then take possession of the product(s) and handle the distribution or selling of them.
One of the interesting things about private labels is they can be found across countless industries and businesses of all sizes. Large retailers like Amazon and Target have their own private label brands. And plenty of smaller businesses across other industries utilize private labeling. A great example is a hotel that provides guests with water bottles that have the hotel’s branding.
Whether you’re launching a new product or are making a change, if you’re a private label in need of a co-packer, we can help connect you. Thanks to our work in everything from health & beauty to food to household products, we have established relationships with excellent co-packers across the United States.
We will be happy to help you connect with the right co-packer and ensure you get the labels your products need to thrive. And if you’re a co-packer yourself, you already know the importance of having a label printing supplier you can always count on. That’s why we’d be happy to start working with you in this role.
