Continuous Improvement Leader
The Continuous Improvement Leader works with teams to prepare and conduct process improvement events. Responsible for developing and preparing materials for use in the events, coordinates with department managers and participants, lead instruction on the use of process improvement tools, facilitate team decisions, assists with resolving team conflict, assists in the development and implementation of action plans and follow-up.
Essential Job Functions
Adheres to all company policies and procedures and actively promotes ongoing continuous improvement and its activities and services to others.
Provides lean improvement orientation and on-the-job training for teammates and ensures that the responsibilities are defined and understood, and oversees the lean projects.
Establish metrics to monitor financial savings as compared to established goals and targets.
Presents, facilitates and develops continuous improvement events using methods of culture-appropriate team building, team energizing, data gathering and analysis, problem solving and project management and stated of the art presentation and platform skills.
Seeks and evaluates process improvement and Lean Enterprise information, materials and methods to match the specific organizational and department needs as identified by management. Adapts information, material and methods to use in the execution of process improvement events.
Participates in and coordinates the development of events and scheduling of the events. Works with departmental management to ensure appropriate participation and support is achieved. Assists in locating and reserving meeting locations and coordinating delivery of services and materials necessary for a successful event.
Provides event follow-up to monitor and report the progress of planned improvement implementation to assure timely action, management support and achievement of expected benefits. Uses appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document process improvements.
Coordinates with the appropriate department manager to develop reports for overall continuous improvement activities including accomplishments, participation, projected activities and anticipated needs.
Completes goals and projects in a timely manner. As well as, participates in achieving company goals and assisting others with completing their goals as appropriate.
Prepares purchased information for departmental management review to identify materials, software and other resources required for effective implementation of continuous improvement.
Identifies trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system.

Education and Experience
BS, BA or similar degree is required. Degree with an emphasis in manufacturing is highly preferred.
Full working knowledge of Lean Concepts with demonstrated success required. Six Sigma experience is preferred.
Proven analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
3 years manufacturing experience preferred. 5-7 years proven analytical continuous improvement experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis highly preferred.
